Zimba is a slender looking fellow standing at a height of 5' 8''. His eyes are a hazel/brown colour that are filled with warmth and life.He has a strong jaw and long white hair which he ties at the back of his head. He has a sword scar on his facet that he recieved while training with his sparring partner.He wears a silver chain around his neck. He generally prefers black kimonos and he wears a long white and red scarf around his neck. Although he wears western styled clothes sometimes when he is alone.
Personality:
Zimba is a free and easy going fellow who can get along with anybody. Apart from this he is a dedicated person who is bent on perfecting his battle arts. He is quite capable of fighting on his own as well as in a group.
When faced with danger and challenges he rushes head first into them and sometimes this tends to back fire on him. Among friends he can be seen as a comic who is quite capable of making others laugh. He tends to get excited very soon and makes a fool out of himself at formal events. He likes to hang around with his friends in the academy when he is not fighting.
Biography:
During Zimba's time alive, he was enrolled into a Kendo Dojo for 7 years. He had achieved a high level at age 17, which was farther than most kids his age. It was also the age he died in a fire. When he was guided to the soul society, he remembered nothing of his past life until he saw a shinigami walking through the Rukongai holding their Zanpakuto, which made him remember his skills as Kendo.
He became friends with some kids in Rukongai. They all spoke of Shinigami all the time and Zimba's intrest only grew.Zimba thought that he would make a good shinigami because of his Kendo skills. He decided that he would join the academy along side with his friends Fourer,Habi, and Jha za. They taught Zaburai how to use basic kidou while he helped them to improve their fencing. His day would normally begin with training in the morning with his friends. Then he would go to the grocery store and work for a few hours. He earned just enough to get by. He would then join up with his friends later. They would hang around the market or they would go to the fields for some more practise. Finally he decided that he was ready to lead a life as a shinigami and along with his firends enrolled into Daikokubashira Academy at age 66.

Zanpakuto appearance:
Zimba's zanpakuto is 120cm in length.Its a shallow forged katana.It has a white handle of 30cm in length.The handle is bound by red ropes in a kris krossed fashion. The zanpakuto doesn't have a guard. Zimba carries his zanpakuto on his back. The sheathe is of dark red colour, and when carried looks like it is soaked in blood. Zimba tends to prefer Zanjutsu and it its preferred fighting style but he is also adept at using bare hand techniques and can use his body parts as a weapon, specially his head. Favourite barehand technique is head butt.
Sample Mission:
Zimba was very excited about this traning mission. Only he along with fifteen other students had been chosen to undergo a simulation of fight in an area filled with hollows.
Although the hollows that they would be facing would be weak. They would be atleast fighting with the real enemy. They were to be supervised by 10 seated officer of the 11th division protection squad, This only heightened the excitement as Zimba had a opportunity to show the officer his abilities.
Nervously the sixteen chosen students approached a senkai gate led by the 10 seated officer. Zimba now felt energy flow through his body and he looked around to see if anybody else was as excited as him. Some of the faces were calm, others had a slight grin on their face, but one of the students looked a little scared. That guys was Hinako, a big guy you didn't want to mess around with. Zimba knew very little about that guy.
The senkai gate opened in front of them and they went inside. After a quick sprint they arrived in the real world. Immediately upon their arrival there was an attack on the squad. The attacking Hollow was quite weak and was killed quite easily. Then the squad was divided into 4 group of four people each. Then we were ordered to explore the area and dispatch any hollow that we ecountered. We were told that marks would be awarded on how well we coordinated with our team members. With this our group went to explore the nothern part of the area.
Hinako, Tokai, and Dashiro were alloted into my group. We dispatched some four or five hollows easily and every one in the group seemed to be working with each other to kill those hollows. Even Hinako, who was put in my group, seemed to have relaxed quite a bit. Soon two hollow appeared in front of them. Zimba jumped toward them unsheathing his sword. With a bold strike on the hollow's head Zimba killed one of the hollow. The other one was stuck with a mid level kidou spell from one of my team mates. We were doing well in the training and were quite sure that we would come out with flying colours.
Suddenly in the midst of the battle we failed to notice another hollow that had manged to creep up from behind. With no prior warning two of my team mates were attack by the hollow and they were thrown back by a good few metres fom the attack. Tokai was able to get up while the other was knocked out cold. Hinako was stunned at the hollow's strength and he started to echant a mid level spell. The hollow rushed towards him. Seeing that he couldn't defend himself i rushed to his side as fast as my legs could take me and landed a strike on the hollow's arm. The cut was shallow and instead of hurting the hollow it just angered it. Now it seemed it was my time to be on the recieving end. The hollow started to come towards me. I decided that I should hold the hollow until Hinako finished the enchantation to achieve maximum damage from the spell. I tried to get behind the approaching hollow and tried to strike it down. The hollow reacted with speed and sent me flying like a fly. It then jumped in the air and it was bound to land on the spot where I was lying like a rag doll.
My end seemed inevitable and all I could do was to watch the hollow soar across the space towards me. Then in mid air the hollow was struck with a blue ball of flame conjured up by Hinako. It blasted the hollow away. Seeing my chance i gathered my wits and went to finish the job. But the hollow stood up. The hit didn't produce as much damage as i had hoped for. Still the hollow was trying to figure out what happened to it and I siezed my chance and sliced off its right arm.
The hollow let out a scream and pounded me with its left fist to the ground. I was stunned. The hollow was going to attack me again when my other team mate stepped in and stuck the hollow with his zanpakuto on its chest and this seemed to hurt the beast. The hollow was enfuriated with this and it proceeded to deal out some punishment. I slowly stood up shaking from the hit. Hinako and my other team member were fighting the hollow as best as they could. With Hinako using kidou and the Tokai drawing the hollow's attention. All of a sudden i was hit from behind and i fell head first to the ground and was knocked out. Hinako told me later that another hollow had attacked me from behind.
The vision was blurry, i could see something but couldn't make make out what it was. It was like some one put a translucent cloth over my eyes or trying to make out things in a muddy river. I had no idea what what i was seeing, nor did i know where i was or what i was doing there. I was just staring blank ahead trying to make sense of things. Even my hearing didn't seem to work all i could hear was a voice but what it said seemed all foreign and appeared to come from quite a distance. Slowly the fuziness started to lift and I started to regain some consiousness to find Dashiro making sure i was allright.
I got up on my feet but my head felt light and i fell down again. Dashiro helped me up and after a few seconds i realised that Hinako and Tokai were trying to fend off the hollow.
"Zimba, lets use shot of red fire", said Tokai.
I agreed and we started the enchantation. Hinako was trying his best to hold off the hollow but he was weak in zanjutsu so he was getting pushed around.
We finished the enchantation as fast as we could and fired off the spell on the two hollows. We had created an opening and had two choices either to charge and try to finish the fight or to retreat. I was too proud to retreat but was smart enough to call for back up. So I called for backup from our supervisor. This done and the hollows still reeling from our previous attack we charged at the hollows with all our strength.
We struck the hollows and they cried out in pain, at last the tide seemed to have changed and we were finally getting some retrebution. Soon we saw the 10th seated officer sweeping in from above and with a quick slash from his zanpakotu made quick work of the hollows.
We were then led to soul society where 4th division squad members were waiting to treat our injuries. I had suffered a concussion but it was nothing they could not heal. We were informed later that the two hollow that we faced were not the normal hollows we were set to face but more powerful ones which had slipped through the barrier surrounding the training area. He further said that we were brave and foolish and were very lucky to be alive.
We went in there a couple of novices and came out at the other end shaken up and scarred. But these scars will help us remember never to underestimate the enemy and teach us a valuable lesson, "Be ready at all times", which I hope I will never forget.
