Name: Nekomyou Aoi
Gender: Male
Age: 33 age of death. 58 in Soul Society.
Appearance: Aoi is a large imposing figure, standing six foot two inches tall with a thick neck and large shoulders. However, apart from apparently the ability carry heavy things long distances, he doesn't appear that strong. His major areas of strength are in his hands, feet and lower legs - displaying manual dexterity and light-footedness. Aoi has thick, black, mildly curly hair that surrounds his head - but only slightly goes past the base of his skull in length. His hair persistently covers his eyes and foreheads despite Aoi brushing it out of his face and behind his ears whenever he has the option. His wide, robust face is adorned by two eyes of different colours that unnervingly brink at opposing intervals. The left is a deep brown with staring power only augmented by the jet black that surrounds it and takes up the center; but is off-put by a bright green eye that appears completely out of place, freckled with dark and brighter green around the edge and iris. Aoi doesn't like this eye.
Aoi does not like the shinigami kimono and has never adapted to it; avoiding wearing it whenever he can in favour of "real clothes". Only when forced does he wear the full kimono - and while working he leaves hanging around his feet showing the "real clothes" beneath it. He has never made any change to his kimono because of his disdain for it, nor shown any pattern wearing "real clothes" other than he never wears green. Aoi thinks there's more than enough green in his eye.
Personality Aoi is a very angry and bitter person and unfortunately he has no idea why. Fortunately though he's spent the last fifteeen years at Soul Society quietly learning to suppress that side of him. He's now getting to grips with exactly who he thinks he is now. He styles himself a pacifist, but loves to fight. he generally thinks of himself as a good and honest person, but he still lies - whether he is 'good' is something that he is yet to discover. What he likes the most however is what some might call dancing - to which replies that he doesn't like dancing. He likes moving through the air with a rhythm unlike music and dance because it is not bound within song or script. And when he does this during battle he combines his two passions and is most happy. Determining Green's personality outside combat and the flow is difficult because he's still working it out himself.
Biography:When Aoi first found himself within Soul Society he was bitter. He didn't know why, nor how he could get rid of the feeling, so he just turned his anger and bitterness towards all those around him. He was utterly unreasonable in his anger and destruction, because he himself did not have a reason. He picked fights wherever he went - winning most of them due partly to his residual spiritual power and mostly because of alot of luck. But it wasn't long before that luck was going to run out. If it wasn't for a shinigami spotting his potential during a fight with another vagrant, his bitter soul would have just continued it's cycle. However luck prevailed for Aoi once more and he was invited to join the Daikokubashira Acamedy. But Aoi was still a bitter and angry soul with no direction. He did arrive at the gates of the Crimson Court two months after this event, for what reason he was not sure. There was just something within him that needed him to go there.
After six years of the Academy's discipline and spiritual guidance, Aoi began to actually want to change his nature. It was a difficult challenge to change one's very nature, especially when you have no idea why you are that way. Aoi spent fifteen years within Soul Society searching for answers. He looked back upon his life in Rukongai and visited the places he viewed as significant, as well as meeting with spiritual mystics who claimed they could see into his soul. He found no answers within his sentimental places - and the mystics only spoke in riddles, talking of darkness and the bitter soul; the soul that he had to destroy, or at least suppress. After many years looking for answers on the outside - Aoi realised that he would only discover answers within himself. Through much searching, the answers still escaped him, but through meditation he was able to suppress the bitterness within him - leaving a blank slate for who he was yet to become.

Zanpakuto Appearance: Aoi's zanpakuto is approximately 77cm long, blade and hilt combined. The blade is sharply pointed on the end and double-edged, with a width of 3.5 centimetres and length of 70 centimetres. The length and point specialises it in piercing attacks, but despite it's narrow blade it can be used effectively cutting. The hilt is the most intricate and far-extracted part of the weapon; 7cm long, 2cm at the most in thickness, it is cylindricular but grows wider around the middle. It is coloured light gray, with dark indentations that form an endless vine around it. The guard begins with a large ring of metal that looms over the hand from the top starting from the edge of the northern edge of the hilt and leaving the ring at the top and attaching it to the end of the hilt. Within this ring is an oval shield attached to it from all sides, inscribed upon it is a single character that cannot be deciphered. Beyond this a web of other metal strands starting at the guard and reaching the edge of the hilt provide a shield for the hand from the from and the right side. On the edge of the hilt is a fat pommel to balance out the long weapon and which all the strands are attached to.
Aoi does not like to use his zanpakuto when he can. He begun fighting unarmed and whenever he can, he likes to continue fighting that way. His style of combat whenever using any weapon is following the flow of the battle, never to stop moving, always thinking two moves ahead. He likes to use all of his body when he is fighting so his opponent never knows when the attack is coming from. He takes this particular advantage when fighting shinigami - their attack is always coming from their sword. If he can stop their sword with one limb, he can attack them with three others, and his head, and his knees. He also augments his attacks with kidou in a number of ways. He actually powers his attacks with kidou in order to deal more damage - after all, he only has his hands and feet while they have extremely sharp swords - and he randomly uses kidou alongside his attacks to keep his opponent completely unable to predict his next move. Though he is particularly light on his feet, he doesn't rely on this in combat as he generally attacks in such a way that he is off of his feet alot. His style is very, unpredictable and some might say, insane and this is how he overcomes opponent who use more damaging weapons than he does.
When using his zanpakuto, his technique only improves. But he likes to pretend it doesn't; he is partly right. When fighting with just his zanpakuto versus another zanpakuto, he will most likely lose - his style of sword-fighting is also unconventional and not suited to facing weapons like katanas. But when he combines his weapon into his insane style, it only increases the number of possibilities he could act with, especially as he can wield the weapon with either hand. A favourite technique of his using the weapon is to suddenly stop moving while standing upright with his fingers hooked into the web-like guard of his weapon, holding it over his head ready to strike down like a scorpion's tail. With his opponent off-put, and the strength and speed he can strike down with his weapon, it ferrets out weaker opponents quickly.
