View Full Version : [Application] Takashi "Faust" Murimoto <12th Division>

Takashi Murimoto
01-26-2009, 06:06 PM
Name:
Takashi "Faust" Murimoto

Gender:
Male

Age:
Still born in the real world
190 in the Soul Society = 19-22 in appearance

Appearance:
A tall man at 6’3” Takashi is no one to be taken lightly. His athletic frame gives him an equal amount of power and speed. He knows how to use his 185 lbs. of weight to the max. His dark oily black hair hung down to the middle of his back billowing in the wind. His electric green eyes radiate compassion, anger, and yet are a void at the same time. His nose is almost a perfect 40 degree angle down and unmarred, while his mouth is a thin line almost perfectly straight. His teeth are perfectly aligned but the edges were chipped from numerous blows to the mouth in the past. His skin was an even chestnut brown with small lines of a lighter color speckled across his arms and torso from scars. His side burns and beard were kept to stubble while he completely shaved the moustache off. He commonly wears the shinigami outfit but occasionally he will wear a specialized camouflage outfit that he made to work around his Zanpakto’s shape. His limbs are strong but not overly muscular allowing him to catch people off guard with a sudden “burst” of strength.

Personality:
Calm, and complacent until someone degrades women or his deceased wife. He is very gregarious and amiable even though he suffers from minor depression. He usually is seen in his dorm meditating or at the dojo practicing if he is not out on one of his private excursions. Many times the children of nobles would try and prove they were better than him by beating up on him. He would let them brag all they wanted but when they started to throw the blows he ended the fight. He is a devote studier if it is a subject that he finds interesting. If it completely bores him he usually will need the help of a classmate or teacher. When he believes that he is right he will usually fight the point until it is “a dead horse” (He argues it until it doesn’t matter anymore.) He will need a captain that is stern but lenient and patient. The one thing that will instantly cause problems is if someone mocks his past love life, his deceased wife, or his ideals. He will not drink alcohol or smoke. Non-alcoholic rum and Virgin Piņa Colada’s are his usual specialty drink. He does have a tendency to bottle up what should be let out and let out what should be bottled up. He does have a softer spot for kids as his wife died in child birth, although if the child is rotten to the core he will not give any attention to him. He shows respect to those who deserve respect. He is a partial pacifist; if words can resolve any issue he will use them but if it must come to blows he is not afraid to mercilessly kill. If there is an order that seems to go against his personal beliefs he will be reluctant to do it and may botch the job on purpose (i.e. he could not be the warden of the Maggot’s Nest because he knows that these people have done no physical wrong, they just pose the potential threat. He would do nothing if anybody who had done no wrong tried to escape. If they had physical plans to harm the Soul Society then he would easily keep those people in check.) In missions he finishes his priorities as fast as possible, although when training he drags out the fight to learn all he can from it. He usually will follow all codes of conduct until it becomes imperative that the opponent is defeated. Then Faust relies upon an arsenal of tricks, traps, and cheap shots. (Forewarning:. When Faust is in his Camouflage outfit, he doesn’t fight fair. The suit is meant to annihilate any and everyone in his path.

Biography:
He has no memory of his “parents” that raised him until he ran away from the Rukon. He lived outside of the Rukongai wandering. He only knew that he was still born on earth yet, he was married. He was a fair thief that could get by most of the time without getting noticed by even some shinigami. For a while he led a rebellion against the 13 Divisions for their “structured” elimination and ignorance of hollows. He thought hollows were bad therefore, they should be killed. So he started to place lures for hollows to come to the farthest reaches of the Soul Society. When the hollows came, Faust and his group of bandits would eliminate them before there was any problem. Soon the Arme (French for weapons or arms) Bandits were praised as they became the stuff of legend. Then they disappeared. No one heard any more of their exploits or tales. They faded from view and become a mist. Faust then moved closer to the Zaraki section of the Runkogai and learned under Mjolnir, an old sage. The sage taught Faust the balance of the words and how the world works. Soon Faust was considered a sage in his own right, again though, he disappeared. He would rotate through training routines around the outside of the Sierietie. For one week he ran around the Sieiretie three times a day. Next he would find the largest boulders and rearrange them to what was assumed to be Faust’s family crest. After another period of hiding he went to work for a sword smith. He made some of the most respectable swords that were not Zanpakto’s in the Soul Society. Soon he was brought into the Sierietie to work under master metal craftsmen. He used his knowledge from Mjolnir to listen to the metal as they told him many secrets of the forge. He became well known as a man of honor and a kind man to many people of the Rukongai. People on both sides respected him. For one more time he disappeared into the sewer systems memorizing the layout so as to become proficient in traversing the city. Through a few connections he found a book about the Legend of the Great Betrayal. It talked about how three captains led a rebellion against the Soul Society and the King of the Soul Society. It also talked about how a substitute shinigami was the one that lead the counter-offensive. As Faust read he recognized that like that substitute shinigami had showed reason to the Soul Society before so could Faust do so to the Soul Society today. He soon immerged from the sewers and waltzed through the entrance exams and into the Soul Reaper Academy.

Zanpakuto appearance:
The blade looks like two katanas have been forged on top of each other with a small spike protruding from the tip pointing up. The guards are a pair of golden sickles, one facing the opponent and one facing the wielder. The white handle is straight and wrapped in a green silk clothe. The pommel is a crescent moon with the opening being covered by the handle. In the center of the handle is a diamond that runs the length of the handle through the center. It continues into the pommel to create a four prong spear setting that holds a 100% pure jade stone that is clear like the setting. On the blade there are sine waves that will change according to how the wielder is using his (her) reistu. The heavier the use of kido or physical manifestations of spirit energy the more active the top sine wave will become. The more the user focuses the reistu into their movements, zanpakto, or a pre-existent physical body the more active the lower sine wave will be. If the user uses an even amount of reistu to both kido and the zanpakto the sine waves will align. When this happens the jade stone lights up with an almost phosphorescent glow, and the shinigami’s overall abilities will double.

It is worn across the back with the handle being below the right hip and the tip of the blade behind the left shoulder. A tri-fold leather wrap will cover the ninety-five percent of the blade, while the inside of the wrap is a feather like substance that is made of the same “hairs” found on gecko’s feet.

The character list won't let me add the sample mission to this post. It is in the last post.

Hello and welcome to the BARPG.

There are quite a few things that need to be looked at about your application, though it does have a few promising points.

First, your application is lacking heavily in the Personality and Biography sections. Please lengthen them both considerably, especially the Biography.

Second, while you have not posted anything to do with your Shikai, it is still against the rules to have any communication with your Zanpakuto until you have reached the required amount to have Shikai. So please fix anything to do with your Zanpakuto conversing with you.

Third, there are a few scattered grammatical errors throughout the application. Please try to proofread it and find them if you can.

This is the sample mission
Sample mission:
"Faust. Why do I listen to such a name?" Takashi thought to himself. He rolled over and continued to sleep.

When he arose he knew what lay ahead. He wasn’t like the rest of the class. When he first used a blade he disarmed and defeated the 20th and 19th seat officers of the 11th division. Kido came slowly but the results were perfect. He understood the basics on the first day of class. He soon got flash steps down but refused to use them for more the six inches of movement. His sword wasn’t even the usual. It was blockish and green. It was such a complicated sword that his teachers could not figure out how to properly teach him.

So he would disappear for weeks at a time, then show back up with all of the assignments done and usually a small scar or two on his arm from the sickle cross guards. When everyone would begin sparring no one would approach him. When some one did they would bow, draws swords, and then Faust, as he was commonly called, would sheath his sword and defeat the person with his bare hands. He would focus spiritual energy into a disk on the palm of his hand and use it as a shield, thus being able to “block” a zanpakto. I didn’t always work as some times he had nasty gashes on his hands and arms.

Many times he was put up for early graduation but he himself denied it. It was not his style to rush into something. Many of the younger students, at least the females fawned over him. During the last year at the academy Faust did something strange. He went and chose certain people out of the mix and did special training with them. They never told the teachers what went on. They simply trained… and became ten times better. They were looking like they could all land a top five seating ability in the divisions. Then disaster struck.

A strange Arrcanar came into the soul society. Before she was quickly decapitated she said this. “Faust, why did you betray me? In doing so you sealed the fate of your friends.” The friends that had trained with Faust soon fell to a disease of common origin. Faust, though knowing full well that he could not leave, left to find why. Why had they died? In a week he was back. He walked with pride to the fourth division, found an exam room, and passed out. He was riddled with injuries. Every bone in his body was broken, almost every muscle was torn, and yet he walked in. Soon he was back in the academy finishing his studies when a seated officer approached him. They talked for a while.

“So, Faust. You do know that you are under suspicion for your recent actions, more specifically your disappearance?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Even though you are one of the best we must hold you back another year. If you make it through this specialized course, you could be one of the youngest members in the elite.” The man said as he turned around and nonchalantly showed the 69 tattooed on the back of his neck.
“If it is the will of the Center 46 and the Gotei 13.”
“You are to rotate between the different divisions daily. Every other day you will spend in the Great Spirit Library. Speak to no one unless they have a number from 69 to 49 tattooed on the upper torso and or are 5th to 2nd seat officers. Now leave, or I will kill you.”
Faust walked out smiling, “This is gonna be good.”

He followed his directions to the letter because he knew that there was no room for error. He soon found the name of his Zanpakto, although he told no one and encrypted the file. When he tried to call it it did not answer at all. He learned from the best of the best. The VC’s would take him under their supervision and gave specialized tips, while he learned other techniques from the other officers. Soon he could disarm 10th seated officials with his bare hands and not get hurt. He worked tirelessly.

After six months of non-stop training he was afforded a weeks rest. He stayed exclusively at a hot spring resort and although keeping up some minor weight training he enjoyed doing nothing. It was here he met a set of twins they were very old and were soon to depart for earth. They smiled when they saw Faust. They told him that they knew about where his sword came from. Their grandfather owned a blade that was a sister blade to his. The sister blade was named Crimson Princess. They said his was at one point forbidden because it drained the life of the previous users so fast, but now that someone who was an ex-Quincy wielded it. It could truly be unleashed. They handed him a scroll that held the designs for what looked like a gigai but it couldn’t accept a human soul.

Faust worked on the gigai but no matter what he did nothing would happen. He kept it hidden in a storehouse of some close friends. He was intrigued by what the twins had said to him. Try as he might he could get no where in finding out who they were, who wielded the Crimson Princess, or anything on the zanpakto. As he was researching he noticed that a small girl no older than thirteen came in and laid a tray of jasmine tea on his table. Before he could say anything she left with a tear in her eye. When he looked outside, in the hallway she was gone. It was then that he noticed the guard had changed on his zanpakto. The sickles had changed they were turned sideways and reconnected back the hilt. He then took the Jasmine and poured a drop on it. The once golden metal turned green and became an honest tsuba. He continued his research late into the night. At three in the morning he ran out of tea. Again he noticed that the tsuba changed back when the scent finally left the room at 4:00 AM.

Soon the man who kept Faust back appeared again, this time with a sword in hand. He brought Faust to a place where they could fight and not be noticed. After ten days of fighting the man left Faust to report the findings.
“You will find out whether or not you pass later stay in your dorm and wait for further instructions.”
As Faust was walking back to the dorms he passed by a perfume shop that just opened up. Their specialty was a plumaria scent that hung in the air. Faust felt the something move on his back and he saw that the guard had changed. This time the sickles became scythes and they encompassed created a basket hilt.
So Faust went and waited with his zanpakto until the day that he received word as to whether or not he became a shinigami in the Soul Society.
