His bankai could require people to already be under the influence of kyoka suigetsu for all we know, in which case the shikai is more dangerous since it would have to come first. Obviously I'm speculating out of my butt but the point is without knowing what his bankai does, there's no way to be sure of anything. As we saw with soi fon, the bankai may not necessarily be a direct extension of the shikai which leaves a lot of room for who knows what.

Who knows? The mark doesn't go away unless she wants it to. But that's not the point.

Her rocket isn't a one hit kill. Just because it's really powerful doesn't make it a one hit guaranteed kill.

Her shikai IS two hits in the same spot and you're dead. Guaranteed. Her bankai is not get hit by it and you're dead. It might happen, it might not, just like any other powerful attack but it's power is not to kill in one hit. That was never stated or implied. Kenpachi killed Tesla in one hit but obviously he doesn't have a power of one hit guaranteed kill.

Maybe Aizen doesn't have Bankai D:

He could have effortlessly used his shikai Kyoka Suigetsu to make it appear as if he had a Bankai so that he would be accepted as the fifth squads Captain.

Or maybe he does, but I don't see how his zanpakuto can get any stronger however.

While it might be anticlimactic, Jeff does have a point.

Aizen doesn't need a bankai right now. Almost everyone has witnessed his shikai release that has captain level power, EXCEPT Ichigo. Ichigo will not defeat Aizen ANYTIME soon, but it can be assumed that Aizen may not have bothered learning bankai.

I absolutely agree, besides if one is not caught in the illusion which is the basis of Aizen's power, then he might be able to adapt to whatever his bankai since he will be able to see the battle "clearly", besides so far Ichigo's hollow has shown to be just as powerful as anything in bleach, and everybody knows it will play a factor!

i agree how would ichigo be able to fight with closing of his eyes.
since the only possibility of ichigo not seeing the aizen's shikai release is fighting aizen with his eyes closed.if this were to be the deal then ichigo gone for good.

Aizen's bankai is probably something to do with his shikai effect since most shinigami bankai's are similar to the shikai's e.g. Ichigo's Getsuga -> Black Getsuga, Byakuya's Senbonzakura petals -> petals he can control, Renji's Zabimaru long ranged attack -> Bigger version with more attacks. But that's only some zanpaktou, it could be completely different to the shikai, for example Soifon's. So maybe Aizen can't use his bankai without the effect of his shikai, so he couldn't go bankai on Ichigo since he hadn't seen his shikai?

Actually that's not entirely correct, Ichigo is one of the worst examples of Zanpakuto Shikai-Bankai conenction save for the Black GT. Ichigo's main weakness was speed before he attained bankai, and while his shikai is a oversized kitchen knife, his bankai is a thin katana, with a guard suggesting his fighting style should be entirely different. Just like Soifon, she lacked in destructive power but had speed, while in bankai it's just the opposite.
Also Byakuya can control his petals in shikai too... his bankai is shikaix1000 + versiality, which means it gives him more swords to scatter and the ability to play around with them.

Obviously Ichigo won't be able to match up to Aizen, no matter the growth he had since, I beleve Unohana just wanted to encourage him, maybe he'll play the role of a bait, or something I don't know. This was great to explain how will Ichigo end up fighting with Aizen in the end, but honestly I can't believe Unohana really counts on him, I'm sure the she knows well that defeating Aizen here and now is impossible for Ichigo.

I really doubt if Ichigo can defeat Aizen...isnt he tired fighting now...he used so much power to defeat Urquiorra and there were many opponents.
He is at his limit....how could he continue fighting????
