Can Ichigo defeat Aizen?

is my favourite character but... with a unaccesible mask and being tired... aizen stomps.

Yes I see what you're saying, but all that potential is out the window when Aizen is miles ahead of Ichigo. He has to get stronger to beat Aizen, and that would take time, time SS and the Vizards just don't have. Not only that, there's still the fact that Ichigo could be killed before he sees Aizen's shikai. And seriously if Aizens shikai is so great that they have to rely on Ichigo's potential, they have another thing coming when he uses his Bankai.

Well, who else can you rely on? Tosen is on aizens side, i thought Shinji could see through it cause what he did in the TBTP arc, but that was kidou from what i heard. Maybe you have to be under the shikai effect for the bankai to work, or maybe that thing that happened to his eye when he used the new mask can help get past the illusions. Idk, but for now, ichigo is dead.

Tousen could change sides on a whim, as he did in Soul Society. I also would like to say that Isshin is more capable, since it's obvious that he was not at soul society when Aizen when Aizen revealed his shikai. (well maybe not obvious but I believe it's true.) Then there's Ryuken(Ishida's dad) He's a powerful Quincy I'm sure he could hold his own against Aizen.
But like you said, as he is now, he's dead.

If Tosen switched sides he would be stomped, Aizen knows what he is capable of. Isshin, maybe he gets it done. Ryuken....who knows. Isshin and Ryuken vs Aizen? O.o Its all in the air. Shinji has an unknown shikai and bankai but he might fight gin. Yama....we have seen nothing from him. His eyes are always closed and his bankai possibly could trap aizen and toast him...Shunsui, an unknown bankai and a shikai that is a basic bankai. But having your eyes shut against aizen is asking to die. Urahara and his bankai, he is smart, maybe he made something to get past the illusions.

That's true, I think Tousen would get pwnd by Komonura. Ryuken and Isshin would be way better than Ichigo, but I don't think they have an issue with Aizen, however if they are threatened I think they'll jump in. I also believe that maybe Ichigo is like the warm up for the mini boss(Aizen's Shikai) and Yama will fight the final boss. (Aizen+Bankai) Yama has to do something, he rarely does anything but air and watch, and clearly that's gotten him nowhere. He need to fight too if he doesn't want everyone to die.

based on the information and confidence that unohana have, i think we can give ichigo an even chance. he does have the vaizards and the gotei captains to back him up and take care of tousen and gin. and i doubt very much that tousen and gin are stronger than kyouraku, yamamoto and unohana even if they produce a mask.

conclusion: so the conclusion is that ichigo's zanpakutou, zangetsu means moon cutter, and his attack means moon fang, heaven's destruction. so, in this case, if aizen's abilities are the moon, then that will mean ichigo will eventually create a 'moon cutter' move to defeat aizen. will this be the perfected form of getsuga tenshou, or will it be an entirely different move? i don't know.

again, this is pure speculation, so you are free to pick it apart as you like. And dont be mean and take away my rep... and it took some time for me to reasearch this and dont hate.

i always rememberd aizen had something to do with the moon.. but i never put zanagetsu into the equation as well..

man awesome.. you deserve some recognition for this small overlooked point,,,

Yama has to do something sooner or later. All he has done thus far is breathe air.

That depends on which Ichigo you are refering to, I am sure Aizen would easily defeat Ichigo even with his mask, but so far Hollow Ichigo has been among the most powerful if not the most powerful characters in bleach, he has crushed everyone he has faced from Byakuya to Ulquiorra, I am sure if it comes down to him versus Aizen he will win!
