Byakuya and him getting beaten up shouldn't be in the same sentence, that rarely happens... sorry. Byakuya is most likely going to pwn his zanpakutou, I can't even wait for this fight to happen. Though the title for next weeks episode is quite interesting, I highly doubt Byakuya would truly "betray" the shinigami.

However, I do think that Byakuya has already defeated his zanpakutou and is using his zanpakutou's armor as a disguise and that the true "betrayal" will be that the other zanpakutou will think that Senbonzakura has been sneaking around and what not amongst them, when really its been Byakuya the entire time. You'll have to rewatch episode 238, 9 minutes into it, you'll see Senbonzakura appear and ask where Muramasa is and then leaves... so that's what my theory is based on, you can be the judge for yourself. We'll see what happens next week.

Byakushi will never betray his shinigami root. He's probably acting on his own like what Toushiro did in the 2nd movie. That's why when you saw him standing on top of that tower and Ichigo was chasing after Huozakimaru, Byakushi didn't wear his captain haoru. He was only wearing the regular shinigami uniform. He's definitely going after Muramasa.

I agree with you Capt because you know how titles can be SO misleading. Byakuya might side with his Zanpakutou somehow to discover what Muramasa's real intentions are. We may see Kyoraku and Ukitake find their Zanpakutou and engage in a dialogue.

I too thinnk thata Byakuya it's working under cover. Hopefully will see how it really is in the next episode.

I don't know why, but I just get the feeling that Byakuya has had his memory wiped like Hyorinmaru and he is actually working with Muramasa and the Zanpakutou spirits. What he is doing just doesn't make since otherwise.
