Enough people to defend Karakura Town? There's what, Isshin, maybe Yoruichi, Tessai, and a bunch of small fry. If the Stern Ritter came to the town it would be a slaughter.

...But it might be cool. Especially if we get to see more of Isshin... and maybe Karin will get the power up that's been sort of foreshadowed at the beginning of the Fullbring arc.

Unohana was seen in Soul Society, I don't think she had enough time to get to Hueco Mundo. Besides, there's a war going on, she's needed there.

They never said that all of the letters were used. There might not be 26. And out of 16 Quincies that are in SS now not all might have a letter. I think the letters are only given to really strong ones.

Wouldn't be the first time that she's helped Ichigo out when he's in a bind.
Though I'm not sure why she would attack Urahara. So I guess that takes her out of the question.

Another guess could be Squad 0. Maybe they step in?

Edit: I see an arrow stuck in Urahara's back, did the quincy that was already there shoot him, or is that from our mystery attacker?

Nel wouldn't point her sword at Urahara, Halibel's sword is shaped differently. As it's a sword, I think it's either a Shinigami or an Arrancar. But all the active Shinigami are in SS fighting, so it leaves us with some ex-Shinigami, maybe RG. But I think RG would appear in a gruop and it would make more sense for them to appear in SS and help out there, not save some humans, substitute Shinigami and an ex-Shinigami in HM. Sooo, Arrancar? Not Nel, not Halibel, it leaves us with Grimmjow. The sword doesn't look exactly like the one he had before, but maybe Kubo just forgot to draw the chips on it.

this is my explanation for the vandenreichs letters. Their are 15 (or 16) Stern Ritter and they are all assigned letters from A-Z. Other non-Stern Ritter's like Kirge will also receive a letter, albeit the soldiers like Luders and Ivan will not. Overall there are at least 26 high ranking members in the vandenreich. Each is assigned a letter and the other soldiers and communication team dont receive letters. I could be wrong about the the 26 members but this is what I think.

I bet you all, that blade in the end of chapter 500 is from Grimmjow!Finally Kirge is sliced in half and for sure he's dead. Now the great Grimmjow is back, Hell Yeah!!!
